In early generations, probably at Lac Ste Anne, it introduces such prolific families as Belcourt and Gladu, but unlike these, few L'Hirondelles seem to persist in the Kelly Lake picture now. The 1933 Kelly Lake Voters' List identifies L....xThomas L'Hirondelle and (his wife?) Julia, nee? A "Mrs L'Hirondelle" sold her land southwest of Goodfare to A Bricker, c1940. Possibly she was Julia, by that time a widow? No L'Hirondelle appears in the DCB (1983). In Sprague & Frye (A50) are ID 2954 Joseph L'Hirondelle and two sons ID 2953 Joseph and ID 2952 Alex. The original Iroquois name could have had an ornithological connotation "swallow".
